Frank Barbieri is the CEO and founder of Transpera. Frank founded Transpera with the vision of helping normal people enjoy new kinds of mobile video experiences.
Frank formerly ran media products at InfoSpace and prior to that, ran the Windows Mobile Media Device and Services group at Microsoft. Frank also held a senior position at Onvia, a company he helped take public, and MSNBC where he drove the online video distribution business and interactive content division. He has most recently worked in the private equity industry doing mobile and entertainment strategy and portfolio company support. Frank started his career as a photojournalist documenting the plight of refugees globally.
Rob DeMillo is the Chief Technology Officer / co-Founder of Transpera, where he is responsible for the technology and operational aspects of the company and serves as the technical liaison to mobile operators, video content providers and ad agencies globally. Prior to Transpera, DeMillo was the Chief Technical Officer for Third Screen Media, where he drove the research, specification, development and technical operations of the company’s MADX platform. DeMillo also served as Vice President of Mobile Technology at VeriSign, following the acquisition by Verisign of m-Qube where DeMillo was Senior Vice President of Engineering. DeMillo was also founder and CEO/CTO of MediaRush, an early market leader for media distribution within the home, and held technology leadership positions at ATG, a personalization and eCommerce leader, and SynaPix, a computer graphics and video effects company.
Ray Colwell is VP Sales of Transpera. Ray joined Transpera from Third Screen Media where he was SVP TSM|Network Sales. At TSM he was part of the executive management team which successfully built TSM|Network into the largest mobile internet advertising network in the country. Prior to TSM he was with Yahoo where he was Director of Sales. Previously, he was senior director of sales at Lycos. In other positions at Lycos, he served as director of vertical sales, telesales and market development. Mr. Colwell was director of strategic alliances at Engage and a regional director at Adsmart. From 1996-99, he served as west coast director of sales for Pointcast. Earlier experience included sales and marketing positions at Ziff-Davis. Mr. Colwell began his career at Thomson Financial, where he was southwest regional sales manager. He studied small business management at the University of Vermont.
