txteagle helps global organizations learn, educate and grow in emerging economies by leveraging the power of the mobile phone. Through a network of over 2.1 billion mobile phone subscribers across almost 100 developing countries, txteagle leverages the emerging market community for two inter-related services; i) GroundTruth: gathering local data and opinions ii) GroundSwell: leveraging those insights to improve consumer engagement.
Founded by former MIT faculty member Dr. Nathan Eagle and Dr. Ben Olding from Harvard’s Statistics Department, txteagle has raised funding from top-tier investors that include Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, Flywheel Ventures and Esther Dyson.
txteagle delivers unprecedented data collection, consumer insights, brand engagement and purchase incentives in emerging markets via two complementary and related services, GroundTruth and GroundSwell:

txteagle leverages the power of the mobile phone to give global organizations unprecedented insight into emerging markets. Here's how it works:
Accuracy Inference Engine (AIE)
txteagle's Accuracy Inference Engine (AIE) enables us to deliver accurate, high quality results to our clients. The AIE consists of the statistical routines that allow us to determine when tasks have been completed successfully, versus when we still need to have more or different community members process a given task. As our system operates, we accumulate labeled data, giving us opportunities to refine these strategies and increase efficiency even as we maintain or improve our quality standards.
Through partnerships with over 220 mobile operators worldwide, txteagle has developed a global compensation platform.
This enables us to send airtime to 2 billion mobile phone subscribers in almost 100 countries. While our partners have very different methods for crediting their subscribers with airtime, the txteagle payment platform acts as a "wrapper", enabling us to instantly send compensation in over 50 currencies directly to any of 2.1 billion mobile phone subscribers in 100 countries.
Through partnerships with over 220 mobile phone operators, the txteagle community is active in almost 100 countries worldwide:
